Booking is essential for all classes - if you are a new student to B:Yoga please contact me to receive an enrolment form for completion.  After this, please purchase the class at least 24 hours in advance to confirm your space.  

Yoga Therapy Sessions

Therapeutic and supportive sessions which combine counselling and psychotherapy with an embodied approach to healing.

You will be met with compassionate support by an experienced therapist in a safe and confidential space as you explore challenges or difficulties in your life. These might be around:

- Stress, anxiety, depression or fatigue

Relationship difficulties and family difficulties, including separation or divorce

Loss and bereavement

Health issues including cancer, chronic pain or fatigue, autoimmune disease, age-related difficulties, and terminal illness

Women's health issues including peri-menopause and menopause, endometriosis, irregular menstrual cycle, painful periods, PMS, fibroids, hormonal imbalances, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), vulvodynia, subfertility, infertility, miscarriage, and postnatal depression

Low self-esteem

Self-harming activities, or suicidal thought

- Addictions including food, alcohol, drugs, sex and work

Surviving emotional, physical or sexual abuse or trauma, whenever it happened. 

Yoga Therapy sessions are very gentle, and tailored to provide unique support for wherever you are on your journey, as well as equipping you with skills to help support you between sessions. 

Beverley began her formal training in counselling and psychotherapy in 2006, and has worked with a broad range of clients both in the UK and internationally for several years. In addition to her private practice she offers counselling sessions at The PF, an established and respected counselling service in Edinburgh, as well as sharing yoga with mental health inpatients at The Royal Edinburgh Hospital. She is currently completing her Professional Doctorate in Psychotherapy with the University of Edinburgh.

Yoga Therapy sessions are suitable for all, and no previous experience is necessary.

Get your week off to a great start!  Dynamic and uplifting vinyasa classes set to inspiring music combine sequenced flowing asana (yoga postures) with pranayama (breathing practices) and gentle meditation to help you build strength, stamina, and flexibility in body, mind and spirit.

These classes will expand your awareness and equip you with techniques to support you in dealing with life's challenges, including managing stress or fatigue, while deepening self-compassion and acceptance and increasing a sense of joy and playfulness.  

Come and enliven and focus your body and mind, before being brought to a grounded sense of calm and balance leaving you ready for whatever the week ahead brings!

Open level class. Absolute beginners are strongly advised to book a private session before joining the class, or to complete a beginners' block.  

The private session will cover the key principles of a block of beginners'  classes by introducing you to the basics of a vinyasa practice, familiarising you with typical instructions so you can follow the class easily, and providing any specific variations you may need for safe practice.  

Gentle Flow

Revitalising and calming classes which combine softly flowing movement sequences connected to the breath along with longer resting in some postures, and gentle mindfulness and meditation. 

These supportive practices, along with simple breathing exercises for balancing the nervous system, will nourish the mind, body and soul, relieving fatigue and providing a sense of well-being.

Suitable for all, from complete beginners to those who are experienced in yoga and wish to practise at a slower pace.

Pregnancy Yoga

Supportive and nourishing classes that gently stretch, strengthen and calm mind and body.  The practice encourages you to connect with your growing baby and changing body while supporting you through your pregnancy and preparing you for birth and beyond.  

You will learn to build stability and find more comfort through the physical changes of your pregnancy with asana (physical postures), and to promote calm, boost vitality, and support the emotional and spiritual adjustments through pranayama (breathing techniques).  

Pelvic floor practices will assist in birth and healing after birth, and simple meditation and yoga nidra (deep relaxation and healing practices) will help to relieve exhaustion and lift the spirit.   

Suitable for all mums-to-be from 12 weeks of pregnancy.  No previous experience of yoga is necessary.

Chillout Yoga (Restorative & Nidra)

Restoring classes which facilitate deep, conscious relaxation, providing relief and balance across all aspects of your being: physiological, mental, emotional and psychological.

Gentle relaxation poses supported by bolsters, cushions and blankets alongside soft unwinding movements allow you to learn how to accept support and relax deeply, entering the calming state of the parasympathetic nervous system. You will feel your muscles and tissues relax and un-grip as your mind becomes quiet and your breathing more full and settled, releasing tension and easing congestion through your whole body-mind. Caring conscious touch and the use of high quality essential oils will further support you as you rest more deeply in this practice.  

The sessions incorporate Yoga Nidra, an ancient practice which translates as "conscious sleep". Through guided deep rest in the sub-conscious space between dreaming and wakefulness we can find peace, authenticity, ease, and the ultimate understanding of our deepest nature and limitless potential.

These sessions are beneficial for and available to everybody.  They can be especially useful for those who suffer from stress-related problems, experience chronic fatigue, or are recovering from burn-out, illness, or physical or emotional trauma.

Yoga for Fertility

Nurturing and empowering classes provide emotional and physical support to create a positive foundation for optimal fertility.

Whether you are preparing to start a family, have been hoping to become pregnant for some time, or are undergoing a programme of IVF or other assisted reproductive technologies, these classes are nourishing, restful, and extremely beneficial.  

Elements of Hatha Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga Somatics and Yoga Nidra are combined to lower stress and anxiety levels, balance your endocrine and nervous systems, facilitate deep relaxation, and release tension and congestion through your whole body-mind.

The practices also encourage a connection with your womb space and energies, supporting familiarity and trust with your unique rhythms, boosting your menstrual and reproductive health and optimising your possibilities of conception and a healthy pregnancy.

Yoga for Fertility classes are open to women at any stage of the fertility journey.

Private sessions are ideal for those who are unable to attend regular classes due to work or family or travel commitments, as well as students who simply prefer to practise away from the class environment. 

They are extremely helpful for complete beginners who want to learn the basics of yoga safely, or intermediate students who wish to deepen in their asana, pranayama or meditation practices. 

They also offer tailored support and help improve physical and mental performance in sports and activities, such as cycling, running, football or rugby.
